Danni Washington is back on the show to discuss her upcoming involvement in the online virtual summit called EarthXOcean from June 9-12. We take a serious turn on today's podcast to speak out against the police brutality on the black community over the past few months as well as systematic racism in the Marine Science and Conservation field. I am honoured to have Danni Washington on today's episode to answer questions about how she feels about the Black Lives Matter Movement, her experience protesting in Los Angelos, and what we need to do as a community in Marine Conservation to be more inclusive and diversify the way we look at Marine Conservation. If you know anyone who you think would be a great guest on the podcast and is a visible minority, please email me their contact to andrew@speakupforblue.com. What do you think Marine Science and Conservation can do to improve inclusiveness of minorities in the field?
