Visiting Antarctica might be on your bucket list and it would be a fun thing to do, but is it in the best interest protecting its environment? That is the question that conservationists are asking after a noticeable increase in vessels visiting the most Southern continent. They are worried that too many tourists could lead to the introduction of invasive species and/or diseases like the avian flu. A cap in tourists may be necessary to control the increase of tourists. There was an article that I recently read that explained how climate change was melting the snow on mount Everest, exposing the trash left by climbers as well as dead mount climbers who did not succeed in reaching the peak. It got me thinking of all the places that we humans like to explore, which opens up the potential for us to ruin every nice place on Earth. I discuss how we need to do better to live for a better Ocean. Do you agree with my thought? Share your thoughts in the Speak Up For Blue Facebook Group: http://www.speakupforblue.com/group. Have you ever wanted to visit a place so badly that you dream of it every night and look at beautiful pictures? How did you feel when you showed up to that place after years of dreaming about it and finding out that it has been ruined by other tourists who had the same dreams. Did you ever wonder whether we need to see all of these places or should we just leave them alone? These are the questions that I dive into during this episode. I would love to hear you weigh in on this matter in the Facebook Group. Enjoy the Podcast!!! My family and I went on an All-Inclusive Vacation to Cuba! Yes, I am Canadian and I can travel to Cuba! I have to admit, I am not a fan of going to an All-Inclusive because of all the bad stuff that is associated with big resorts:
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the three assumptions above were not true...well mostly. I tell you how the resort and Cuba made it possible to have a great resort(s) and have a healthy environment.
